This kitchen, designed by Ernie Ruskey of Tektonika Studio Architects and built for Sisler Builders client, was fabricated out of quarter sawn ash. Both sheet goods and lumber were used and in order to blend the two I bleached the lumber to have even staining through out. The cabinets were stained a custom color and then sprayed with a professional clear conversion varnish finish designed for kitchen use. Due to the sleek and horizontal design, a lot of attention was put into lining up the grain throughout the project and tip-on hardware from Blum was used so there would be no visible hardware on the cabinet faces. The concrete counter top was fabricated by Anomal Design and Fabrication.
